Room Service on a River Cruise

Unlike room service that’s offered 24/7 on nearly every ocean cruise ship, room service on a river cruise is almost nil. But, there is one meal that is gaining availability; breakfast.

Depending upon the stateroom category and of course the cruise line, you may be able to order a continental or even a full breakfast to enjoy in your upper-category stateroom or suite.

USA River Cruises with Room Service

American Cruise Lines:  offers breakfast room service plus coffee, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks are available 24 hours a day.

American Queen Steamboat Company:  offers 24-hour room service.

Europe River Cruises with Room Service

A-ROSA: Suites can order room service fro 7am until 10pm

Avalon Waterways:  All categories of cabins can receive daily room service for Continental breakfast and beverages (service charge applies.)

Emerald Waterways:  Guests in Emerald’s Concierge Service available in Owner’s One-bedroom Suites, Riverview Suites, and Grand Balcony Suites can order continental breakfast, pre-dinner canapés and after dinner treats

Scenic Cruises:  All guests in all categories of suites can ask their butler for complimentary refreshments. Guests on Diamond Deck can enjoy breakfast served in their suite, by their butler. 

Tauck:  For guests in Category 7 suites, American breakfast room service is available.

Uniworld:  In Europe, Suite guests may order room service through their butler.
