For the first time, Norwegian will have five ships cruising in Europe in summer 2017.

Great news for Freestyle Cruising fans. Norwegian Cruise Line announced a record five ships will cruise from European ports in 2017. Included will be cruises to the Baltic from Copenhagen on Norwegian Getaway and cruises to western Europe, Baltics, Norwegian Fjords and more aboard Norwegian Jade with a summer homeport in Hamburg. Guests can also board Norwegian Jade in Southampton or Amsterdam.

With more ships abroad, it looks like there will be some awesome itineraries for Norwegian in Europe 2017.

Norwegian Getaway

Norwegian Getaway returns to Europe for the summer and departs from Copenhagen on eight- and nine-night cruises to the Baltic. The itinerary includes port calls in Tallinn, Estonia; Helsinki, Finland; Stockholm, Sweden; plus an overnight in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Norwegian Jade

After receiving an extensive make-over during spring 2017, the Norwegian Jade will arrive into Hamburg to begin cruises from this new homeport on May 14, 2017. From Hamburg, cruises will include a series of seven- and nine-night Western Europe cruises; nine- and ten-night Norwegian Fjords cruises; 12-night Norway & North Cape sailings; as well as a special 14-night Norway, Iceland & UK cruise.

From May 12 – June 20 and August 7 – October 16, 2017, guests can embark the Norwegian Jade in Southampton for a range of seven- and nine-day Western Europe cruises or nine- and ten-day Norwegian Fjords cruises. Embarkation will also be possible from Amsterdam for seven-night cruises to western Europe.

“With these exciting new summer European itineraries, we are offering our guests a wider variety of adventurous itineraries that span the continent, while also bringing one of our newest and most innovative ships to Europe”, said Andy Stuart, president and chief operating officer of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Norwegian Epic

The recently refurbished Norwegian Epic is set to cruise a seven-night Western Mediterranean itinerary, with a choice of departures from Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome) or Marseille.

Norwegian Spirit

Norwegian Spirit will cruise alternating 10- and 11-night Mediterranean cruises between Barcelona and Venice and from Venice round-trip itineraries that include Israel and Greece.

Norwegian Star

Cruise the summer from Venice to the Greek Isles as well as to ports on the Adriatic Sea, plus port visits to Greece and Turkey.

Even though it’s over a year away, past Norwegian Cruise Line guests and travel agents can reserve accommodations beginning on February 9, 2016 and everyone else on February 10, 2016. Like I always say, the best rates and choice of accommodations are available at the earliest time of booking. Watch for sales later on, but you’ll have the stateroom of your choice. And depending upon the direction and itinerary of the cruise, you may want a specific port or starboard side stateroom.
