Joining the MSC World Europa, the MSC Euribia and six other ships, the MSC Armonia will become the brand's ninth vessel in the region for the winter.

The season will start in December, with a series of 13-night cruises to the Eastern Mediterranean sailing roundtrip from Genoa and other ports.

Visiting Egypt, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Malta, the itineraries will be highlighted by extended visits to Alexandria and Port Said.

The MSC Armonia will then move to the Western Mediterranean and the Atlantic in late January 2028, kicking off a schedule of 10- and 11-night cruises to Italy, Spain, France and Morocco.

Sailing from Genoa, the itineraries will allow interporting at multiple ports, with highlights including visits to Tangier, Casablanca and Alicante.

The itineraries will be offered through mid-March 2028, when the 2,000-passenger vessel resumes its previously published deployment in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Set to debut in South Africa in 2026-27, the MSC Armonia was initially scheduled to operate a second season in the region in 2027-28.

Plans changed earlier this year, with the MSC Sinfonia taking over the company's published repositioning voyage to South Africa in late 2027.

The MSC Armonia was later added to MSC's five-ship lineup in South America, joining the MSC Virtuosa, the MSC Divina, the MSC Splendida and the MSC Musica for itineraries in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

Further deployment changes came in August, with MSC canceling its planned winter season in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf.

As a result, the company revised its plans for the 2027-28 winter season in South America, replacing the MSC Armonia with the MSC Meraviglia.

In related news, MSC recently announced plans to redeploy the MSC Euribia in 2027-28, moving the ship from the Mediterranean to the Canary Islands.
