Windstar Cruises and James Beard Foundation create partnership to offer Windstar guests a new culinary cruise experience at sea.
Beginning summer 2017, Windstar Cruises will offer guests the opportunity to dine on JBF-endorsed cuisine, recipes and culinary demonstrations on every cruise. One special Windstar Cruises culinary cruise is planned featuring James Beard award-winning chef and author, Hugh Acheson. This western Mediterranean voyage will be aboard the 212-passenger, all-suite Star Legend, setting sail August 15, 2017.
“Our partnership as the official cruise line of the James Beard Foundation solidifies our goal to support culinary excellence and innovation, and be the world’s best small ship cruise line in everything that we do,” says Windstar President John Delaney.
Windstar continues their long-standing tradition to provision local food when possible, offer follow-the-chef market tours, bake their own bread and treat guests to regional cuisine based on their location.
