U.S. News & World Report has just released their findings for the Best Cruise Lines for 2019. In total, they evaluated 169 cruise ships in 17 popular cruise lines for six categories. The categories are Best Luxury Cruise Lines, Best Cruise Lines for the Money, Best Cruise Lines for Couples, Best Cruise Lines for Families, Best Cruise Lines in the Caribbean and Best Cruise Lines in the Mediterranean.

Topping the list at number one in two categories is Seabourn Cruise Line. This small ship fleet placed first for Best Luxury Cruise Line and Best Cruise Line in the Mediterranean. With a sixth luxury ship launching this week, Seabourn’s first place for luxury topped Viking Ocean Cruises and Crystal Cruises, second and third place respectively.

In the Best Cruise Line for the Money, Celebrity Cruises ranked the top spot. This 10-ship cruise line (not counting their current three expedition ships) was found to offer an average rate of $199 per night per person according to the methodology used for their report. Coming in second and third were Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line.

Taking first place for Best Cruises for Couples is Viking Ocean Cruises, with Seabourn and Azamara Club Cruises in second and third places.

Disney is king of the castle for both Best Cruise Line for Families and Best Cruise Line in the Caribbean. In second and third place for Best Cruise Line for Families is Royal Caribbean and Carnival. Seabourn and Celebrity finished next for Best Cruise Line in the Caribbean.

Last but not least, following Seabourn for the next two Best Cruise Lines in the Mediterranean goes to Viking Ocean Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises.
