CroisiEurope has announced that they will be launching a new 7-day culinary cruise on the Rhône in April 2019.
The Must-See Sites on the Rhône itinerary will travel roundtrip from Lyon through the heart of France, focusing on the unmatched food and wine found throughout the region. The voyage will visit Arles, Avignon, Viviers, and Tain L’Hermitage on the new MS Rhône Princess. The highlight of the cruise is an optional exclusive dinner at Abbaye de Collonges, a Paul Bocuse restaurant on the banks of the Saône. Those who book the cruise before December 1, 2018 will receive this special dinner for free.
Other highlights of the culinary cruise include the following:
- A guided tour of the Cite du Chocolat in Tain L’Hermitage, which is located on the site of Valrhona’s historic chocolate factory. Here, travelers will discover how chocolate is made and explore, smell, and taste chocolate in multiple forms.
- A tasting of local specialties at the covered market of Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse including saucisson and cheese with a glass of wine
Departures for the 7-day Must-See Sites on the Rhône culinary cruise run from April through October 2019. Prices start at $1,953 per person and include all means and drinks onboard plus excursions, insurances, and port fees.
