Freestyle Cruising kicks it up a notch with premium open bar.

Beginning January 2016, Norwegian Sky guests won’t be nickel and dimed every time they order a beer, cocktail or a glass of wine. Unlimited premium spirits, cocktails, wine by the glass and bottled or draft beer valued up to $11 are all included.

“We’re taking Freestyle Cruising to the next level to provide our guests with an experience unmatched by any other contemporary cruise line,” said Andy Stuart, president and chief operating officer for Norwegian Cruise Line. “Norwegian Sky guests will have the freedom to enjoy a cruise vacation the way they desire-whether it’s lounging by the pool with a margarita, having a laugh at a comedy show, catching up on their favorite book on their balcony, or indulging in fine dining- all included in their cruise fare.”

The Norwegian Sky, built in 1999 and accommodates 2,004 based on double-occupancy, is a small ship by today’s standards. At only 77,000+ gross tons and with 12 bars and lounges, you won’t have to walk very far to get a drink.

  1. Hi Judy, I’m not sure what beer will be included in the open bar. Maybe you can call Norwegian or ask your travel agent to dig around for the beer menu. I’m sure it will be a fun cruise either way!
