Cunard is gearing up for their second annual Transatlantic Fashion Week Cruise, August 31 – September 7, 2017. Noted Grand Dame of fashion, Iris Apfel will join the line-up of fashion headliners attending this glamourous cruise event.
If the name Iris Apfel doesn’t ring a bell, you should know she’s been involved in the fashion industry for decades, first as an interior designer and textile maker. Her bold sense of personal fashion is her trademark, along with her wit and wisdom.
Still a jet-setting celebrity, Iris flaunts her bold individual style, flair and exuberant choice of clothing colors. She’s best known for her signature oversized round glasses, jingly bangle bracelets and necklaces.
During Transatlantic Fashion Week, Iris will present one Q&A session and introduce a showing of ‘Iris,’ a documentary featuring fashion, creativity and her soaring free spirit.
I’ve lived quite a life of fashion and can’t wait to experience style at sea!” said Apfel. “I look forward to being inspired by the elegance and glamour of the occasion and life onboard, especially the formal nights on my voyage across the Atlantic.”
Also headlining Transatlantic Fashion Week 2017 is designer Julien MacDonald OBE, who is joined by other well-known names in style including fashion historian Colin McDowell MBE and consultant to the international fashion industry Gail Sackloff OBE. Top models from Storm Model Management will walk the runway.
Guests can experience almost seven days of runway shows, dinners and exclusive unveilings before sailing into New York City for the beginning of Fashion Week.
