Today, AmaWaterways welcomed the AmaCerto as the tenth member of their European river ship family. The traditional maritime christening ceremony took place in Vilshofen, Germany, attended by Rudi Schreiner, President and CEO and Kristin Karst, Executive Vice President. Also in attendance was the godmother to the AmaCerto, Christine Duffy, President of CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) as well as local officials and awaiting passengers.

The new 164-passenger AmaCerto can rightfully boast of having some of the most advanced river ship design elements. Many of the spacious staterooms have unique twin balconies and vary in size up to 350 square feet. More innovative features include multiple dining venues, a heated pool complete with a swim-up bar, fitness center, massage room and beauty salon. As on all of the AmaWaterways ships, internet connectivity is complimentary. Should you just want to kick back and relax, first-run Hollywood movies are available in-room on flat-panel televisions. For those who love the outdoors, there are bicycles to use to explore the ports. Guided bicycle tours are offered in many of the ports along the Danube, Rhine, Main and Mosel rivers, all complimentary of course.
