Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection – Details and Itineraries Revealed

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is taking to the sea with the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Details were just revealed and it looks like this over-the-top new luxury cruise line will really offer something spectacular.

From the look of the artist renderings, the design is really more yacht-like than cruise ship. With the intent to deliver one-of-a-kind experiences, both on the ship and ashore, Ritz-Carlton Yachts will merge the luxury resort lifestyle with a casual yachting vacation. It’s an anti-cruise cruise, as they call it.

The first of three ships begin cruising in November 2019. Voyages will range from seven to twelve days and no route will be repeated. Their first, as yet unnamed ship, will first cruise the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. After a transatlantic crossing, the ship will cover the Caribbean, Latin America, Canada and Northeastern U.S.

Some of the iconic ports include Barbados, Cartagena, Bordeaux and Copenhagen. Smaller ports for a yacht-like experience will be Carriacou, Falmouth Harbour, Gustavia, the Balearic Islands, Mykonos, Portofino and more.

Ritz-Carlton has planned five distinct categories of shore excursions: Iconic Sights; Stirring the Senses; Cultural Connections; Active Explorations; and Epicurean Experiences. Guests can pick a category that fits their interests and activity levels. All shore excursions have local guides chosen for their insider knowledge. Both overnight and daytime ports of call will give guests more flexibility and options when it comes to their time on land.

Some highlights of the new Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection include:

  • Only 298 guests and 248 crew
  • No main show lounge
  • A plunge pool on every outdoor deck
  • Unique marina-style platform with direct access to the water, similar to super- yachts
  • Five restaurants including Aqua by Chef Sven Elverfeld
  • 24hr room service
  • Complimentary WiFi and shipboard gratuities

The yacht will also feature two 158 square-meter lavish penthouse suites, each with its own private whirlpool.

Reservations for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection begin in June 2018.

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection guests will enjoy an all-inclusive luxury sailing experience including spacious accommodations, onboard activities and entertainment, multiple dining venues, onboard gratuities and WiFi. Voyage prices will vary based upon the itinerary and season.
