Great news for East Coast cruisers! Royal Caribbean is heading back to Baltimore after a break. The cruise line just announced that Vision of the Seas will call Maryland home starting in May 2027.
This return brings exciting cruise options right to your doorstep. The ship will offer trips ranging from five to nine nights. You’ll be able to visit popular spots like the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, and New England.
What to Expect from Baltimore
Vision of the Seas will kick off its Baltimore season in May 2027. The ship comes to Maryland fresh from sailing out of San Juan. This extended summer program runs through October.
The initial schedule features two main cruise types. You can choose five-night trips to Bermuda or longer nine-night journeys to the Bahamas and Bermuda. The shorter cruises include overnight stays at Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda.
If you pick the nine-night option, you’ll also visit Nassau and Bimini. These longer trips give you more time to explore multiple islands. Both itinerary types sail round-trip from Baltimore.
Fall Brings New England and Canada
Things change up in late August 2027. Vision of the Seas switches to nine-night Canada and New England cruises. These fall sailings showcase some of the region’s most beautiful destinations.
You’ll visit cities like Halifax, Saint John, and Sydney in Canada. The ship also stops in popular U.S. ports including Portland and Boston. These autumn cruises are perfect for seeing fall foliage from the water.
According to Royal Caribbean’s website, Vision of the Seas offers 21 total departures from Baltimore. The season runs from May 29, 2027 through October 16, 2027.
About Vision of the Seas
This 1996-built ship might be older, but it’s packed with great amenities. Vision of the Seas features the relaxing Vitality Spa and an adults-only Solarium area. The ship’s centerpiece is the impressive Centrum atrium.
Food lovers will appreciate the specialty dining options. Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen serves up authentic Italian dishes. Izumi offers Asian-inspired cuisine for those wanting something different.
Entertainment is another highlight aboard Vision of the Seas. The ship’s theater hosts special production shows. You can catch Broadway Rhythm & Rhyme or Royal Caribbean’s original show Boogie Wonderland.
Booking Information
Crown & Anchor Society members got first access to these Baltimore cruises. General booking opened on November 13 for everyone else. With 21 departures planned, you have plenty of sailing dates to choose from.
This Baltimore return is part of Royal Caribbean‘s bigger 2027-28 expansion plans. The cruise line is also moving Icon of the Seas to Galveston during this same timeframe.
Vision of the Seas’ return gives mid-Atlantic cruisers easy access to great destinations. No need to fly to Florida when you can drive to Baltimore and start your vacation right away.
