Queen Mary 2 welcomes Britain’s Got Talent winners, Ashleigh and Pudsey

Simon Cowell isn’t the only one who loves dogs. Cunard Line does too. Cunard Line is the only cruise line that offers kennel service onboard one of their ships. So when Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey completed their winning performance tour across the United States, they decided to relax and unwind on a leisurely seven-night crossing aboard the Queen Mary 2 back to England. While the seas were calm, the duo certainly made their own waves. Pudsey loves to perform.

Ashleigh and Pudsey on Queen Mary 2

During the seven-night Transatlantic Crossing on the world-famous oceanliner, Pudsey and Ashleigh charmed the ship’s 2,600 guests as Pudsey danced on his hind legs, jumped through hoops, and spun around as part of their popular Charleston dance routine. Ever the entertainer, Pudsey couldn’t resist performing for the crowd as they disembarked in Southampton.

“We’ve really enjoyed our time on board Queen Mary 2,” said trainer Ashleigh Butler. “I’ve been on a cruise ship before but this is the first time I’ve been able to bring Pudsey along, thanks to Queen Mary 2’s remarkable dog-walking deck. The food and service on board were great, and we received such a warm welcome. Pudsey loved the fresh sea air and all of the pampering and attention he received from Cunard’s wonderful passengers. I could tell he really enjoyed performing on board – he just loves the limelight!”

In keeping the old tradition of crossing the Atlantic with Fido,  the Queen Mary 2 features the only kennel at sea, complete with a full-time Kennel Master. Dog owners can visit and play with their dogs during specified hours and the Kennel Master will also feed, walk and keep the dogs company when the owners are elsewhere enjoying the ship.
