Princess Cruises Is Dropping Summer Caribbean Sailings in 2027

Princess Cruises is shaking things up for summer 2027. Here’s what Caribbean cruisers need to know about some big changes coming to the fleet’s deployment plans.

Princess Cruises Is Leaving the Caribbean for Summer 2027

Princess Cruises will pull all of its ships out of the Caribbean from April through October 2027. This is a major shift for the cruise line. Right now, two Princess ships sail the Caribbean all year long.

The Regal Princess and the Caribbean Princess are both currently based in the Caribbean year-round. They sail from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale. In fact, Princess is running its biggest-ever summer Caribbean season in 2026.

Where Are the Ships Going Instead?

Both ships are heading to Europe for summer 2027. They’ll sail from ports in Denmark and the United Kingdom. Europe fans are in for a treat.

Regal Princess

The Regal Princess will leave the Caribbean in April 2027. It will cross the Atlantic and head to Southampton, England. From there, it will offer cruises to Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands, and the Baltic Sea.

In late August, the ship heads back to North America. It will sail Canada and New England itineraries in the fall. Then it returns to Miami for the winter season.

Caribbean Princess

The Caribbean Princess will wrap up its Port Canaveral season in late April 2027. It will then sail a repositioning cruise all the way to Copenhagen, Denmark. From there, it will run 12-night Baltic cruises.

Those Baltic sailings will visit some incredible destinations. Think Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Denmark, and Norway. That’s a lot of passport stamps!

In late August, the Caribbean Princess repositions to Boston. It will then offer fall foliage cruises along Canada and New England. By November, the ship returns to Fort Lauderdale for nine- to 12-night Caribbean sailings.

What Else Is Princess Doing in 2027?

The Caribbean isn’t the only region getting attention. Princess will have six ships total sailing Europe that summer. The line will also send eight ships to Alaska, which is always a popular choice for American cruisers.

On top of that, Princess plans to have two ships in Japan and one ship based in Australia. It’s a wide-reaching deployment across the globe.

What This Means for Caribbean Cruisers

If you love sailing the Caribbean with Princess in the summer, 2027 will look very different. The two ships that normally stay in the region will both be in Europe. You’ll need to wait until late fall for Caribbean Princess to return to Fort Lauderdale.
