The record-breaking day happened on Sunday, November 30, 2025. A total of 75,201 guests passed through Miami’s cruise terminals. That’s like moving the entire population of a small city in just one day.

Seven Major Cruise Lines Created the Perfect Storm

Seven different cruise lines sailed from Miami that Sunday. The lineup included popular brands like Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian. Celebrity, MSC, Virgin Voyages, and Azamara also contributed to the busy day.

The ships ranged from mid-size vessels to some of the largest cruise ships in the world. Each one was packed with excited vacationers heading to the Caribbean and Bahamas.

The Ships That Made History

The ships that day were heading out on four- to seven-night cruises. Most were bound for popular Caribbean destinations and the nearby Bahamas.

Miami’s Banner Year for Cruising

PortMiami has been on a roll all year long. The port recently celebrated welcoming over 8.5 million guests during its 2025 fiscal year. This represents the highest annual passenger count in the port’s history.

The numbers show a four percent increase compared to the previous fiscal year. This growth proves that cruise travel continues to bounce back strong.

New Ships Calling Miami Home

Miami serves as a major homeport for cruise lines around the world. The 2025-26 season brings exciting new ships to the port. Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth is currently offering its first season sailing from Florida to the Caribbean.

Other ships making their Miami debut include Holland America‘s Zuiderdam and Oceania’s Allura. Windstar’s brand-new Star Seeker also joined the Miami fleet this season.
