Singapore Drydock Brings Sanctuary Collection to Royal Princess

The Royal Princess has emerged from a drydock in Singapore with a series of enhancements, Princess Cruises said in a statement.

The highlight of the upgrades for the 3,595-guest ship that spent October 16-30 in drydock is the addition of the cruise line's resort-style experience at sea, Sanctuary Collection.

The cruise line recently announced that the collection would be expanded to five of its Royal-class ships, starting with the Princess.

"The enhancements aboard Royal Princess introduce new accommodations, distinctive venues for entertaining, dining and socializing, and thoughtfully refreshed spaces designed to elevate every aspect of the guest experience," said Rodrigo Llaguno, Princess Cruises chief operating officer.

"These updates build on the ship's enduring appeal and our commitment to creating memorable vacations through exceptional experiences and the signature Princess touches our guests have valued since her debut."

The ship now offers the premium, all-inclusive Sanctuary Collection, including access to the Sanctuary Club, a private top-deck retreat for adults with its own pool, which will be available beginning April 22, 2027.

Until then, all adult guests 16 and older may preview the Sanctuary Club, formerly the Retreat Pool and The Sanctuary, the cruise line noted.

As part of the Sanctuary Collection, guests can book new ocean-view staterooms, along with 20 guest cabins "“ six mini-suites, seven oceanview, two interiors and five single interiors that were also added as part of the drydock.

In addition, Sanctuary Collection guests get access to the newly opened Sanctuary Restaurant on deck 6, adjacent to the Concerto Dining Room.

Apart from this, several other dining and entertainment venues aboard the ship also received upgrades.

O'Malley's Irish Pub at the Piazza took over the former Vines location on deck 5, while the nearby Bellini's expanded into the former Photo Gallery space.

At the Princess Casino, the staircase connecting decks 6 and 7 has been removed to expand the floor, which can now accommodate an enhanced selection of gaming options.

Finally, the Effy jewelry boutique was refreshed and other shops have also been upgraded with the transition to new onboard retail partner Starboard.

After debuting in Southeast Asia earlier this month, the Royal Princess now heads to Australia for a season of cruising from Sydney exploring Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

It is one of three Princess ships sailing in the region during the 2026-27 season, which features 42 itineraries and 62 departures.
