Royal Caribbean Group just launched a game-changing loyalty program feature. You can now earn points on any of its three cruise lines and apply them wherever you want.
The new Points Choice program connects Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea loyalty programs. This gives you flexibility that no other cruise company offers.
How Points Choice Works
Points Choice seamlessly connects three separate loyalty programs. Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society, Celebrity Cruises’ Captain’s Club, and Silversea’s Venetian Society all work together now.
Here’s what makes it special: You can sail on one brand and apply your earned points to any of the three programs. This lets you build status where you prefer or try a new brand while keeping your benefits.
Jason Liberty serves as chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group. “Points Choice is designed with our guests at the center,” Liberty said. “Our guests are exploring more of our brands than ever before, and we believe our loyalty experience should grow with them. Points Choice gives every guest the power to direct their loyalty points within our family of brands where they will have the biggest impact for them.”
Members continue earning points as they do today. The new part is choosing where to apply those points up to 14 days after your sailing. You make your choice online, putting control right at your fingertips.
When Points Choice Starts
The program launches in January 2026. It applies to sailings departing on or after January 30, 2026.
If you have cruises booked with any Royal Caribbean Group brand after that date, you’ll automatically qualify for Points Choice. No special enrollment needed if you’re already a loyalty member.
Building on Status Match Success
Points Choice builds on another popular program Royal Caribbean Group introduced in May 2024. Status Match allows loyalty members to enjoy equivalent tier status across all three brands.
This means you keep your hard-earned benefits when you sail with any brand in the Royal Caribbean Group family. Earned Platinum status on Royal Caribbean? You get equivalent benefits when sailing Celebrity or Silversea.
Together, Status Match and Points Choice create the most integrated loyalty ecosystem in the cruise industry. No other cruise company lets you mix and match benefits across different brands this way.
Why This Matters for Cruise Travelers
Many loyalty programs have reduced benefits recently across the travel industry. Royal Caribbean Group is doing the opposite by enhancing the experience for devoted guests.
The flexibility helps if you enjoy different cruise experiences. Maybe you love Royal Caribbean’s mega-ships for family vacations but want to try Celebrity’s modern luxury for couples trips. Now your loyalty follows you across both brands.
Silversea operates ultra-luxury expedition and ocean cruises. These sailings cost significantly more than mainstream cruises. Points Choice lets you build Silversea status by sailing more affordable Royal Caribbean or Celebrity cruises first.
How to Use Points Choice
You earn points the same way you always have on each cruise line. The difference comes after your cruise ends.
Within 14 days of your sailing, you choose which loyalty program receives your points. You make this choice online through your account on the Royal Caribbean Group website.
You can direct points to the brand you sailed with to build status faster there. Or you can send points to a different brand where you’re trying to reach the next tier level.
The program gives you strategic options. Focus all your points on one brand to reach elite status quickly. Or spread points across brands to maintain multiple tier levels.
What Each Loyalty Program Offers
Crown & Anchor Society (Royal Caribbean) has six tier levels from Gold to Pinnacle Club. Benefits include priority boarding, exclusive events, cabin upgrades, and onboard perks.
Captain’s Club (Celebrity Cruises) features six tiers from Preview to Zenith. Perks include complimentary drinks, specialty dining, internet packages, and suite upgrades.
Venetian Society (Silversea) offers eight tiers from Member to Venetian. Ultra-luxury benefits include complimentary upgrades, shoreside events, milestone cruises, and personalized experiences.
Each program has different point thresholds and benefits. Points Choice lets you optimize where your points make the biggest impact.
Getting Started With Points Choice
If you’re already a loyalty member with any Royal Caribbean Group brand, you’re automatically eligible. Log into your account online to access Points Choice features after January 30, 2026.
New cruisers join the loyalty program automatically when booking their first cruise. You start earning points immediately on your inaugural sailing.
Additional information on Points Choice, point conversion details, and FAQs is available on the Royal Caribbean Group website. The site explains exactly how points transfer between programs and optimal strategies for different cruising styles.
Why Royal Caribbean Group Made This Change
Liberty emphasized that guests are exploring more brands than ever before. Families might sail Royal Caribbean, then try Celebrity for an anniversary cruise, then splurge on Silversea for a special occasion.
The old system made you start from scratch with each brand. Points Choice recognizes that brand exploration should be rewarded, not penalized.
“Points Choice reflects the company’s commitment to turning the vacation of a lifetime into a lifetime of vacations, by making every trip count and every point more meaningful for those who choose to vacation with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea,” according to the announcement.
The program sets a new standard in travel loyalty. Royal Caribbean Group is betting that giving customers more control and flexibility will build stronger long-term relationships.
For cruise lovers who enjoy variety, Points Choice removes a major barrier. You no longer have to choose between trying new brands and building loyalty status. Now you can do both at the same time.
