MSC Seashore Heads Into Drydock at Grand Bahama Shipyard
The MSC Seashore arrived at the Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas, on April 1, 2026. The ship had paused its sailings from Port Canaveral in late March to make the trip.

This drydock is a big deal for the ship. It marks the Seashore’s first statutory drydock since entering service in 2021. The work includes routine maintenance and required class certifications.
When Does the MSC Seashore Return to Service?
Passengers won’t have to wait long. The ship is set to return to sailing on April 19, 2026. That first voyage back is a seven-night cruise.
The itinerary visits some great Caribbean and Bahamian destinations. Stops include Cozumel, Costa Maya, Nassau, and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
What’s the MSC Seashore’s Regular Sailing Schedule?
The Seashore runs year-round cruises from Port Canaveral, Florida. Trips range from three to seven nights and head to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
A highlight of many sailings is a stop at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. This is MSC’s private island located near Bimini in the Bahamas. It’s a gorgeous spot that passengers tend to love.
Big Changes Coming in Late 2027
The Seashore won’t stay in Port Canaveral forever. In November 2027, the ship moves to PortMiami. From there, it will offer six- to nine-night cruises in South Florida.

MSC Cruises has a strong presence across several American homeports right now. Here’s a quick look at where their ships are sailing from:
- Port Canaveral – The MSC Seashore and MSC Grandiosa both operate here during the 2025-26 winter season.

- Galveston, Texas – The MSC Seascape launched from this homeport in late 2025 and now runs year-round cruises.
- New York City – The MSC Meraviglia is wrapping up its time at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal through late April.
MSC Is Heading to the Pacific Northwest
Here’s some exciting news for West Coast cruisers. MSC is making its debut in Seattle and Alaska starting in early May. The MSC Poesia will offer a summer season in the region.
After Alaska season wraps up, the Poesia heads to Miami. It will then offer ten- and eleven-night Caribbean cruises during the 2026-27 winter season.
