Disney Destiny Arrives in San Juan for the First Time

The Disney Destiny is making waves in the Caribbean! The ship recently made its very first stop in San Juan, Puerto Rico, marking an exciting milestone for Disney Cruise Line.

Disney Destiny Makes Its San Juan Debut

The Disney Destiny sailed into San Juan on June 30, 2026, for its maiden call to Puerto Rico. The ship is a 140,000-ton vessel that entered service in November 2025. It’s the third ship in Disney’s Wish-class fleet.

The San Juan Cruise Port held a special event onboard to mark the historic visit. Port officials were clearly thrilled to have the ship there.

“We were proud to welcome the Disney Destiny on its first-ever visit to San Juan during its maiden call ceremony,” the port shared on social media.

A Big Deal for San Juan

The Disney Destiny brought more than 2,500 guests to Puerto Rico on that first visit. That’s a lot of people exploring local restaurants, shops, and attractions.

“With more than 2,500 guests, the Disney Destiny joins the thousands of cruise passengers who visit San Juan each week, bringing new energy to our waterfront and creating meaningful opportunities for local businesses,” the port noted.

San Juan welcomed the ship as more than just a tourist attraction. The port pointed out that cruise visits like this one help support the everyday people who make Puerto Rico a special place to visit.

“Every inaugural call helps support the people and businesses that make Puerto Rico such a memorable destination,” the port added, calling the visit “an exciting milestone for Disney Cruise Line and for San Juan.”

What’s the Disney Destiny’s Itinerary?

The Disney Destiny sails roundtrip from Port Canaveral, Florida. It offers a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. The itinerary covers several popular destinations.

Disney Destiny was built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. The ship officially entered service in November 2025. It holds up to 2,500 passengers.
