Great News for U.S. Travelers

American cruisers have a special option. You can join the voyage for 100 days, departing from San Francisco. This version covers Oceania, Asia, and Africa before ending in Savona, Italy. It’s a great choice if you want to skip the Mediterranean portion and focus on the Pacific and beyond.

Where Does the Ship Go?

The Americas

The Costa Deliziosa starts in the Mediterranean before heading to North America. Guests enjoy extended stays in both New York and Los Angeles. The ship also celebrates New Year’s Eve along the California coast.

During this leg, the ship stops at Celebration Key, Costa’s new private island in the Bahamas. This will be the first time Costa guests get to visit this brand-new destination.

Hawaii and the Pacific

After the U.S. West Coast, the ship sails to Hawaii. Stops include both Hilo and Honolulu. From there, the journey continues into the Pacific toward Oceania.

New Zealand and Australia

The Costa Deliziosa explores New Zealand’s stunning coastline. Stops include Tauranga, Auckland, and the Bay of Islands. Guests then head to Australia, with two full days in Melbourne.

Asia

Japan comes next, with two days in Tokyo. The ship then visits South Korea and Hong Kong. Southeast Asia follows, with stops in Langkawi, Malaysia and Phuket, Thailand.

The Indian Ocean and Africa

The Indian Ocean leg includes Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Mauritius. Southern Africa comes next, with visits to Durban, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town. Guests even get to see pink flamingos at Walvis Bay lagoon in Namibia.

The Journey Home

After Namibia, the ship heads to Cape Verde. The final stretch takes guests through the Canary Islands, Barcelona, and Marseille. The cruise ends where it began, in Savona, Italy.

Special Overland Experiences

Beyond the ports, Costa offers several multi-day land adventures. These trips let you go deeper into local cultures and landscapes. Here are some highlights:

  • New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles with a scenic flight over the Grand Canyon
  • New Zealand’s landscapes explored through Māori culture and traditions
  • The temples of Kyoto and hands-on Japanese cultural experiences
  • A five-day deep dive into Southern Africa’s wildlife and scenery
