Carnival LIVE Concert Music Series Explained

Carnival LIVE concerts are a sell-out every time.

Carnival brings back live onboard entertainment in a big way. Not only with smaller bands that perform in various venues on every ship, but now through their new Carnival LIVE concert series. From last April through September 2014, there will be a total of 49 performances from 15 major recording artists, on eight Carnival ships. The performing artists won’t sail the entire trip. The’ll take to the stage once per cruise in either Nassau, Cozumel or Catalina Island, California. Each performer or band will hop on the ship, do their show and then hop off the ship while in port.

Where are the shows performed?

The performances will take place in the main show lounge on one evening per cruise.

How to get your tickets

Choose your cruise and book as usual. Then, log in to Carnival.com and head over the shore excursion page for your port of call. There, you’ll find the option to choose the Carnival LIVE event. You must already have your cruise booked to purchase tickets.

Tickets will be delivered directly to your stateroom so there’s no waiting in long lines for will-call. There is no seat assignment, it’s a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets may also be purchased on board participating ships at the Shore Excursion Desk, if available.

Cost of tickets

Tickets to the shows cost between $20 and $40 per guest (depending on the artist or band), and VIP tickets are $100–150 per guest.

Bottom line

Book your cruise early and then grab your seat reservation on the Carnival website as soon as possible. The main show theaters can’t fit all of the passengers in one show. and the past shows were all sell-outs.

FYI about refunds:

In case a band cancels or is substituted, here’s Carnival’s party line on refunds. A guest may elect to obtain a full refund of the concert tickets if they chose to cancel their attendance at a concert if an artist(s) is substituted, on or after the cruise embarkation day. If the concert is canceled, guests will receive a full refund. All refunds will be posted to the guest’s Sail & Sign account. Prior to the sailing, a full refund of the concert tickets will be made back to the credit card used to purchase the concert tickets.

  1. Hi Tina,
It is unfortunate. At least your ticket was refunded. Guess he’s still having a few issues to sort through.

  2. I was very disappointed to find out that Trace cancelled his concert on Nov 22. I booked this cruise just for that purpose. I am from the New Orleanss area and would not have booked the cruise leaving out of Florida. However I was refunded my concert ticket price from Carnival. Feeling real sad, I was really looking forward to seeing him in concert up close.

  3. Hi Dan,

You are correct. Quite often, you’ll find full-ship charters on the older ships as the rates are lower. I’m hooked on music theme cruises.
