Updated: Carnival Cruise Line Cancellations List

As we all wait to see if and when cruise ships will get the okay to sail from the U.S. this year, Carnival Cruise Line has updated their cancellations list again. If your cruise is listed as canceled, your refund options are also included here.

Carnival cruise line cancellations include all Alaska cruises in 2020
Carnival Legend docked in Sitka, Alaska last summer. Won’t happen this year.

The form for cancellation and refund option will be available on Carnival.com beginning July 10, 2020.

Two re-booking options to choose from if your Carnival cruise is on the cancellation list

Below are two options to choose from, for those whose cruise has been canceled. Carnival says that they will honor these offers for any guests who were previously booked on voyages departing September 30, 2020 or prior and canceled their booking on or after March 6, 2020.

If your cruise is listed on the above Carnival cruise line cancellations list, refunded to you will be your taxes, fees and port expenses, Carnival Vacation Protection, pre-paid gratuities, pre-purchased Carnival shore excursions, beverage and Wi-Fi packages, and Fun Shop purchases will be automatically refunded to the original form of payment.

Whether or not cruising from a U.S. port will resume in October is anyone’s guess right now. The next step will be if the CDC lifts the No Sail Order that’s been in place for nearly four months.

  1. Hi,
Thank you for your question. Yes…as of today Carnival Glory has not been canceled. I’ll continue to update any Carnival cancellations as they are announced. Thank you for reading my article. Let’s hope the cruise lines can soon figure out how to safely get back to cruising.

  2. Hi Shirley and David,
Thank you for your question. The November sailings aboard Carnival Glory are still listed on Carnival’s website as available to book. Whether or not they ship actually will leave New Orleans in November remains to be seen.

I would expect an announcement from Carnival within the next few weeks. With other cruise lines canceling through 2020, it’s hard to imagine that any cruise line can get all the health and safety and testing protocols in place in time for departure by November. Not to mention getting enough crew back in time. But you never know. Just keep checking their website. I’ll also post it on my site as soon as I get word of yea or nay.

Whenever you do get a chance to cruise…bon voyage!
    Sherry
