MSC Preziosa Is Now Sailing Year-Round in Northern Europe

The MSC Preziosa recently began a new chapter for MSC Cruises. The ship now calls Hamburg, Germany, its home port. It arrived there in early May after finishing a repositioning voyage from South America.

This isn’t a short-term move. According to MSC Cruises’ published deployment schedule, the MSC Preziosa will sail exclusively in Northern Europe through at least April 2028.

What Itineraries Are Available?

Summer Sailings

Summer cruises run seven to 14 nights. They visit some of Northern Europe’s most stunning destinations. Highlights include the Baltic Sea, the British Isles, Iceland, Scandinavia, and the North Sea.

One standout option is a special 14-night voyage launching in late June. This cruise heads to Svalbard and the North Cape — some of the most remote and dramatic scenery in the world. The ship will stop at Longyearbyen in Spitsbergen, plus Norwegian ports like Honningsvåg, Tromsø, Molde, Olden, and Stavanger.

Winter Sailings

Starting in late October, the MSC Preziosa shifts to its winter schedule. These seven-night cruises explore Western Europe and the North Sea. They run through April and visit Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, and Belgium.

Multiple embarkation ports are available for winter sailings. Passengers can choose from Hamburg, Rotterdam, Southampton, Le Havre, and Zeebrugge. This gives travelers flexibility when planning their trip.

About the MSC Preziosa

The MSC Preziosa is a well-established ship with an interesting history. It was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France and entered service in 2013. It was the last ship built in MSC’s Fantasia class.

The ship holds up to 3,500 passengers. Before heading to Northern Europe, it spent the 2025-26 winter season in South America. There, it offered three- to eight-night itineraries to Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, sailing from Santos, Buenos Aires, and Balneário Camboriú — a brand-new embarkation port for MSC Cruises in Brazil.
