Virgin Voyages reached a new milestone when the Virgin Voyages Brilliant Lady made its first-ever stop in Bimini on October 24, 2025. The ship’s arrival marked an exciting moment for both the cruise line and the popular Bahamas destination.
The Brilliant Lady started sailing in early September 2025. This Bimini visit was part of the ship’s first Caribbean cruise, making it extra special for everyone involved.
A Special Welcome in Paradise
The ship was sailing an eight-night “Mermaiden” cruise from Miami when it reached Bimini. The itinerary also included stops at St. Maarten and Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, giving guests a taste of different Caribbean cultures.
Resorts World Bimini rolled out the red carpet for the Brilliant Lady’s arrival. They organized a special plaque exchange ceremony to welcome the ship and its crew to the island.
Several important port officials attended the ceremony. The group included Fredrick Barr (director of resort operations), Deandra Knowles (manager of transportation), and Anthony Poitier (assistant manager of port operations). The Resorts World team presented a commemorative plaque to Captain Niksa Stjepovic.
More Bimini Adventures Ahead
This won’t be the Brilliant Lady’s only visit to Bimini this season. The 2,770-passenger ship has four more stops planned at this Bahamas port during its winter Caribbean season.
After a second October visit, the ship will return to Bimini in November, January, and March. This gives more cruise guests the chance to explore this beautiful island destination.
Caribbean Cruising Options
The Brilliant Lady offers various cruise lengths from Miami. Passengers can choose from six-night getaways up to 12-night extended vacations. The ship visits ports throughout the Southern, Western, and Eastern Caribbean regions.
Besides Bimini, guests can explore diverse destinations like George Town in the Cayman Islands and Puerto Limón in Costa Rica. Other popular stops include Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and Oranjestad in Aruba.
What’s Next for Brilliant Lady
After finishing its first Caribbean season, the Brilliant Lady will head to the West Coast. This move will mark Virgin Voyages’ entry into California and Alaska cruise markets for the first time.
The ship will start sailing from Los Angeles before moving to Seattle. From there, it will offer summer cruises to Alaska, expanding Virgin’s reach to new destinations and cruise guests.
The Brilliant Lady’s successful debut in the Caribbean shows Virgin Voyages continues to grow its fleet and destinations. For cruise lovers, this means more options to sail with Virgin’s unique adult-only cruise experience.
