Upgrades Coming Soon to Norwegian Encore

Norwegian Cruise Line announced today that the Norwegian Encore will undergo extensive updates to enhance onboard guest experiences. Key upgrades include a brand-new Spice H2O area, expanded dining options at Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki, redesigned suites in The Haven by Norwegian, and 24 new balcony staterooms.
Starting from November 18, 2024, to December 2, 2024, the Norwegian Encore will enter a two-week drydock. After the renovations, guests will enjoy the new Spice H2O, a complimentary, adults-only outdoor area away from the main pool deck. According to Norwegian, this fresh space will replace the laser tag arena.
Spice H2O will feature multiple hot tubs, eight large daybeds surrounded by cooling pools, and a substantial bar serving a variety of delicious cocktails, making it an ideal escape for guests aged 18 years or older seeking relaxation.
Enhancements will also include expanding two of the cruise line’s most popular dining venues. Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki, the hibachi-style restaurant, will increase in capacity by taking over Los Lobos’ spot on deck eight and Coco’s on deck six. Additionally, Ocean Blue will be transformed into Palomar, a new dining destination offering elevated Mediterranean seafood cuisine.

The Premier Owner’s Suites with Large Balconies in The Haven will be expanded from two bedrooms to three. These suites will now boast three and a half bathrooms, a fully renovated living room, upgraded master bedroom and balcony furniture, and a new separate dining room.
Mirroring recent refurbishments on Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Encore will add 24 new balcony staterooms and two club balcony staterooms, repurposing part of the ship’s Observation Lounge.
After completing the renovations, Norwegian Encore will set sail on a 12-day transatlantic voyage from Southampton, U.K. to Miami. Following this, the ship will offer seven-day, round-trip sailings to the Caribbean through March 2025. Ports of call will include Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay.
