Royal Caribbean Adds a New Port to July 4th Sailing
Royal Caribbean International has updated the itinerary for its July 4, 2026, sailing aboard Rhapsody of the Seas. The change adds a stop at La Romana in the Dominican Republic to the schedule.

The original itinerary included a sea day in that spot. Now, passengers will get to explore an extra destination instead.
Why Did Royal Caribbean Make This Change?
The cruise line regularly reviews upcoming sailings to fine-tune the details. Royal Caribbean told booked guests, “From time to time, updates are necessary as we finalize scheduling port arrangements and operational details.”
The company framed the change as a positive one for travelers. “We want to make sure you are aware of a slight change to your itinerary,” Royal Caribbean said in a statement to passengers.
Shore excursions for La Romana will be available for guests to book soon.
What Does the Full Itinerary Look Like?
This is a seven-night Southern and Eastern Caribbean cruise. It departs roundtrip from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Here’s a look at all the ports on the updated itinerary:

- Philipsburg, St. Maarten
- St. John’s, Antigua
- Basseterre, St. Kitts
