Oceania Cruises enhances past passenger loyalty program

New membership level helps guests earn rewards faster

As the saying goes, it’s easy to keep an existing client than it is to find a new one. Oceania Cruises must have read the memo. With the latest addition of a new level to their past passenger loyalty program, Oceania Cruises is reaching out to even their first time cruisers.

Included in the Oceania Club loyalty program is a new Blue membership level for guests to start earning rewards as quickly as their first cruise. Oceania has also added complimentary air deviation fee waivers as well as substantial savings on internet, shore excursions, beverage packages and logo merchandise into its generous mix of benefits.

Current benefits include on-board recognition and membership-level pins, exclusive Oceania Club cocktail receptions and member-only offers. Higher levels also include free cruises, free Canyon Ranch SpaClub® treatments, and a cruise industry first, awarding guests with shipboard credits and pre-paid gratuities.

“As we approach our 10th anniversary in 2013, it seemed the ideal time to redesign our loyalty program significantly enhancing the benefits at each milestone level and adding a new entry level so that guests can start earning rewards faster,” said Kunal S. Kamlani, the line’s president. “These changes along with both meaningful shipboard credits and complimentary gratuities make our loyalty program truly the best in the industry.”

The new program is effective with the first 2013 sailings.

Oceania Cruises has four luxurious ships in their fleet; the smaller, 684-guest Regatta and Nautica, The 1,250-guest Marina and the new Riviera, sister-ship to the Marina.
