Norwegian Skys Final European Season Is One Last Voyage Worth Taking

Norwegian Sky is wrapping up its time with Norwegian Cruise Line in style. The ship is embarking on a busy farewell season packed with exciting destinations before heading to a new home.

Norwegian Sky’s Trans-Atlantic Crossing

Norwegian Sky just finished its winter season in the Southern Caribbean. The ship departed from the Dominican Republic on April 6, 2026, kicking off a 13-night trans-Atlantic crossing to Le Havre, France.

Along the way, the ship visits some beautiful destinations. Stops include Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Ponta Delgada in the Azores, Lisbon, Vigo, and La Coruña.

European Cruises From Le Havre

After arriving in France, Norwegian Sky shifts to European itineraries. The ship offers seven-night cruises to Northern and Western Europe between April and May 2026.

These sailings run between Le Havre and Copenhagen. Ports of call span France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, and more.

British Isles Season From Southampton

In mid-May, Norwegian Sky heads to Southampton to begin a British Isles season. The ship offers a series of 10- and 11-night cruises through late August.

These sailings explore the stunning coastlines and historic ports of the British Isles. It’s a great stretch of itineraries for fans of this classic cruising region.

A Mediterranean Finale

Late August brings Norwegian Sky to the Mediterranean for a short final season. This includes a nine-night cruise between Barcelona and Piraeus, Greece.

The itinerary highlights the best of the Western and Eastern Mediterranean. Standout ports include Villefranche, Salerno, and the gorgeous island of Santorini.

A Final Voyage Before a New Chapter

In early September 2026, Norwegian Sky sets sail on its last cruise under the Norwegian Cruise Line flag. This 21-night journey travels from Piraeus to Dubai and includes a transit of the Suez Canal.

The route takes passengers through the Middle East and the Red Sea. It’s a truly epic send-off for a ship that has served NCL since 1999.

Norwegian Sky Heads to Cordelia Cruises

After this final voyage, Norwegian Sky will be leased to Cordelia Cruises. This deal was announced in April 2025, and the ship is expected to launch cruises from Mumbai, India, in September 2026.

Norwegian Sun is also scheduled to join Cordelia’s fleet in late 2027. Cordelia currently operates one ship, the Empress, so this is a major expansion for the India-based cruise line.
