MSC Seaview Becomes MSC Cruises’ Second Seaside-Generation Ship

MSC Seaview cruises 2018 inaugural season in the western Mediterranean.

Sister ship to the MSC Seaside, the newly-named MSC Seaview enters service in June 2018. MSC Seaview will spend its inaugural season cruising the Mediterranean.

On June 10, 2018, MSC Seaview departs from Genoa on seven-night western Mediterranean cruises. Guests may also board the ship in Marseille or Barcelona as this itinerary loops around the western Mediterranean.

MSC Seaview will visit six ports during the seven-night cruise,  In addition to Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona, other ports include Naples, Messina (Sicily) and Valletta (Malta).

The same techno–advances on the MSC Seaside will be replicated on the MSC Seaview. These include:

  • Near Field Communication (NFC), using a cruise card, bracelet or smartphone for a range of different options including geo-location of children, stateroom access and onboard payment.
  • Interactive screens to make it simple to select excursions as well as book shows and restaurants.
  • iBeacon technology that is customized to each guests’ specific preferences so that they will never miss their favorite experiences and will be able to communicate with mobile devices and receive push notifications about relevant information and offers.

Past MSC Cruises guests have a two-week window beginning July 5, 2016 to reserve their MSC Seaview cruise before booking is opened to the public on July 18, 2016. MSC Voyager Club members who book a sailing on MSC Seaview during its inaugural season will receive 5% off the early booking fare in addition to the standard 5% Voyagers Club discount.

Non-Voyager Club members who book the MSC Seaview for its inaugural season will receive a 5% discount off the early booking fare. But they must book by January 18, 2017 to receive the discount.

Reservations are already in progress for the MSC Seaside season of Caribbean cruises to begin December 2017.
