Holland America Line is bringing three ships to the South Pacific for an exciting cruise season. From September 2027 through March 2028, travelers can explore Australia, New Zealand, and tropical islands on extended voyages. These longer cruises range from 14 to 35 days, giving you plenty of time to really experience each destination.
What Makes These Cruises Special
The cruise line designed this season around authentic experiences and longer port stays. You’ll have more time to explore each destination instead of rushing through quick visits.
“Whether guests want to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Milford Sound, the crystal-clear waters of Fiji and the South Pacific, or encounter the region’s iconic wildlife, we’ve designed this season to deliver the authentic experiences travelers are looking for,” said Paul Grigsby, vice president of deployment and revenue planning.
Overnight Stays Give You More Time
Three ports will offer overnight stays during this season. You can spend extra time in Melbourne, Cairns, and Lautoka without worrying about getting back to the ship.
“We’ve also added time for guests to linger longer with new overnight stays in Melbourne, Cairns, and Lautoka — joining a growing list of ports in the region where we extend the experience beyond a single day,” said Grigsby.
Standout Voyage Options
The Westerdam offers a 26-day cruise called the “Australia, Coral Sea, & Fiji Legendary Voyage.” This trip departs January 4, 2028, and visits 14 ports across Tonga, Fiji, and Vanuatu.
For the ultimate South Pacific adventure, consider Zaandam’s 35-day “Hawaii, Tahiti & Marquesas Legendary Voyage.” This cruise has two departure dates: October 14, 2027, and February 19, 2028.
The October sailing visits 13 ports with a late-night departure from Bora Bora. You’ll also get overnight stays in Tahiti, Hawaii, Honolulu, and Papeete. The February cruise stops at 10 ports and includes overnight time in Papeete plus visits to Raiatea and Moorea.
More Cruise Options
Westerdam also offers a 34-day “Legendary South Pacific Crossing” starting September 19, 2027. If you prefer shorter trips, try the 16-day “South Australia Discovery Holiday” voyage departing December 19, 2027.
You can also choose between different 14-day options. The “Australia & New Zealand” cruise has multiple departure dates. The round-trip “New Zealand Discovery” voyage leaves February 13, 2028.
These extended cruises let you explore remote islands and famous destinations at a relaxed pace. You’ll have time to experience local culture, wildlife, and natural beauty without feeling rushed.
