Cunard Adds Fourth Ship to Its Fleet

Cunard adds fourth ship
It’s been 12 years since Cunard built a new ship.

I love it when I wake up to read exciting news about new ships. And today’s news is exciting, especially for Cunarders.

Cunard announced today that it will add a fourth ship to its fleet. Yet unnamed, the new ship will mark the first time since 1998 that Cunard will have four ships in service at the same time. It has been 12 years since Cunard launched its flagship, Queen Mary 2. Tempus fugit.

All that’s revealed at this time is that the new ship will sport the iconic red funnel and accommodate up to 3,000 guests. Launch date is sometime in 2022.

Closer in, we can expect Cunard to add new itineraries and destinations in 2018 and 2019. With the latest refit of Queen Mary 2 last year, Cunard introduced new bar and dining venues, entertainment offerings, solo staterooms and brand partners. There’s even a Godiva chocolate shop onboard.
