Carnival Sunrise Cruises from Norfolk Begin Inaugural Season
Carnival Sunrise cruises from Norfolk debuted last week from Decker Half Moon Cruise Center. This follows an extensive $200 million renovation that added a variety of food, beverage and entertainment innovations as well as stateroom upgrades,
Carnival Sunrise inaugural season will offer four- to 14-day voyages to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Bahamas, the Panama Canal, New England and Canada. The first four cruises Carnival Sunrise cruises are from Norfolk.
“The introduction of Carnival Sunrise brings an incredibly enhanced ship to our guests with all of the popular features from across our fleet,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “We couldn’t be more proud to introduce Carnival Sunrise in Norfolk.”

Starting May 23, Carnival Sunrise will reposition from Norfolk to offer cruises from New York through mid-October with four- to 14-day voyages. An invitation-only naming ceremony will be held on board prior to the May 23 departure. Kelly Arison, daughter of Carnival Corporation Chairman Micky Arison and his wife Madeleine, will be the ship’s godmother.

Carnival Sunrise cruises from Norfolk return in October, 2019 with two six-day cruises. Following Norfolk, the ship will reposition to Fort Lauderdale offering four- and five-day cruises that begin Oct. 28.
