Carnival Corporation is making the holidays brighter for thousands of people across the Caribbean. The cruise company launched its yearly holiday outreach program this season. They’re bringing joy and support to communities where their ships visit regularly.

Ship Visits Delight Children in Grand Turk

Students from two local schools got a special treat in Grand Turk. Kids from Eliza Simons Primary School and Ona Glinton Primary School toured Carnival ships. Children from the Department of Family & Children Services joined them too.

The young visitors enjoyed guided tours of the ships. They shared a festive lunch with crew members. Santa Claus made a surprise appearance and gave toys to all the children.

Carnival also joined Grand Turk’s Christmas Parade. The company sponsored a colorful parade float. This helped them celebrate the island’s holiday traditions with local families.

Bahamas Communities Come Together for Holiday Fun

Carnival supported six different holiday events throughout The Bahamas. These activities brought together people of all ages. The events helped strengthen community bonds during the holiday season.

One highlight was a special children’s day at Celebration Key. Senior citizens enjoyed a festive luncheon in their honor. Multiple toy giveaway events made sure local kids had gifts for Christmas.

Carnival Horizon Crew Volunteers in Jamaica

A team of 21 volunteers from the Carnival Horizon visited Jamaica. They spent time at St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital during the holidays. The crew wanted to support both patients and hospital staff.

The volunteers focused on cheering up young patients in the pediatric ward. They told stories and sang Christmas carols with the kids. Each child received toys to brighten their hospital stay.

The team also helped clean the hospital’s learning center. Carnival Cruise Line had renovated this space back in 2023. The volunteers wanted to keep it in great shape for patients.

Hurricane Relief Continues in Jamaica

Carnival Cruise Line delivered more hurricane recovery supplies to Jamaica. The Carnival Horizon brought relief materials to Ocho Rios on December 18. This shipment was part of ongoing recovery efforts after Hurricane Melissa.

The company worked with several partners on this project. Direct Relief, the Miami HEAT, and the Micky & Madeleine Arison Family Foundation all helped coordinate the effort. The ship carried 24 pallets of medical and hygiene supplies to local hospitals and clinics.

Gift Project Reaches Five Caribbean Islands

Carnival joined the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association’s Holiday Gift Project. This program makes sure hundreds of children get Christmas presents. Many of these kids might not receive gifts otherwise.

This year’s initiative reached five different locations. Children in The Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Puerto Rico and St. Lucia all benefited. The program included both gifts and holiday entertainment for the kids.

Celebration Key Gets Holiday Makeover

Carnival Cruise Line is celebrating its first holiday season at Celebration Key. The company partnered with local Bahamian businesses for this special project. Bahamian team members also helped create the festive atmosphere.

They built a tropical winter wonderland at the private destination. A 20-foot Christmas tree now stands in Lokono Cove. The tree features decorations that match Celebration Key’s tropical theme.

Santa’s Village at Starfish Lagoon got special treatment too. Artists created an 8-foot Christmas tree sculpture entirely from sand. This unique decoration perfectly fits the beachside location.

Company Executive Shares Holiday Message

“The holidays are a time for connection and appreciation and we are grateful for the opportunity to share the season with the many communities we work alongside throughout the Caribbean,” said Marie McKenzie. She serves as senior vice president of government & destination affairs for Carnival Corporation.

McKenzie continued: “From supporting local holiday traditions to collaborating with Bahamian businesses and team members at Celebration Key, these efforts celebrate the communities we work with and the people who help make this season special.”

The holiday outreach program shows Carnival’s commitment to Caribbean communities. These efforts go beyond just bringing cruise passengers to the islands. The company actively works to support local residents year-round, with extra focus during the holiday season.
