Big news from Carnival Cruise Line! The popular cruise line just announced its 2027-28 season lineup. The highlight? Baltimore will welcome a second Carnival ship for the first time ever.

Two Ships Call Baltimore Home

Starting in fall 2027, Carnival Miracle will join Carnival Pride in Baltimore. This marks a major expansion for the Maryland port. Both ships will sail throughout the season, giving local cruisers more options than ever before.

“Baltimore has been an important homeport for Carnival for more than two decades, and we’re excited to continue building on our year-round operations with the addition of Carnival Miracle,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

She added, “By giving our guests more variety in itineraries and ships, we’re giving them more reasons to take a Carnival Cruise vacation.”

What Carnival Miracle Offers from Baltimore

Carnival Miracle will sail seven-night, eight-night, and nine-night cruises. Destinations include the Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean. The ship will also offer longer Carnival Journeys voyages of 12 and 14 nights.

These extended sailings visit ports like Dominica, Guadeloupe, and St. Maarten. The ship arrives in Baltimore on November 20, 2027. It will complete a 15-day transatlantic crossing from Civitavecchia, Italy, before starting its new schedule.

Carnival Pride Stays Put

Don’t worry if you love Carnival Pride. The ship will continue its year-round Baltimore operations. Guests can book seven-night Bahamas cruises and seven-night Bermuda sailings.

Pride also offers extended Carnival Journeys trips. These nine-night, 12-night, and 14-night voyages visit amazing places. Think Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Antigua, Tortola, and Martinique.

Carnival Firenze Moves to Port Canaveral

Carnival Firenze gets a new home too. Starting fall 2027, the ship will sail from Port Canaveral. It will offer cruises ranging from four nights to 14 nights.

Short trips include Bahamas getaways to Celebration Key. That’s Carnival’s private destination on Grand Bahama. Longer sailings explore the Eastern Caribbean and Southern Caribbean on Carnival Journeys voyages.

Special Firenze Repositioning Cruise

Before settling in Port Canaveral, Carnival Firenze has a special sailing planned. On May 16, 2027, the ship departs Miami on an 11-night Carnival Journeys cruise. This Southern Caribbean voyage visits Celebration Key, Aruba, Curaçao, and St. Thomas.

After this cruise, Firenze heads to New York City. The ship will operate summer 2028 sailings from Manhattan. This gives Northeast cruisers easy access to Caribbean vacations before Firenze returns to Port Canaveral.

What This Means for Cruisers

These changes create more choices for East Coast travelers. Baltimore residents now have double the sailing options. Port Canaveral gains another year-round ship with diverse itineraries.

The mix of short and long cruises works for different vacation styles. Quick weekend getaways and extended tropical adventures are both available. Carnival continues expanding its presence at key U.S. homeports.
