Nine MSC Ships Will Sail in the Caribbean in 2027-28

MSC Cruises will deploy nine ships in the Caribbean during the 2027-28 winter season, according to its published deployment.

Seven vessels will sail from homeports in the United States, while the other two will operate from Martinique, Guadeloupe and the Dominican Republic.

The season will be highlighted by the debut of two World-class ships in the region, including the inaugural season of the MSC World Atlantic.

The third vessel in the series, the 5,400-passenger ship will arrive in Port Canaveral soon after delivery from the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard.

As one of the largest vessels in the company's fleet, the LNG-powered ship will join the MSC Grandiosa in Central Florida, offering itineraries to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

While the newbuild will offer seven-night cruises to the Caribbean, the Meraviglia-class ship will operate short cruises to the Bahamas.

Miami will see a strong season, with four ships offering three- to 11-night cruises from the port.

The lineup includes the 2025-built MSC World America, which will continue to offer weeklong cruises to the Western and Eastern Caribbean for a third consecutive winter season.

The World-class vessel will be joined in PortMiami by the MSC Seashore, the MSC Seaside and the MSC Poesia.

Galveston will continue to serve as homeport for seven-night cruises to the Western Caribbean onboard the MSC Seascape.

The MSC World Asia will also make its debut in the Caribbean in 2027-28, taking over the itineraries in the Southern Caribbean that were originally announced for the MSC Meraviglia.

As part of its new deployment, the World-class ship will offer a series of seven-night cruises to the Lesser Antilles from Guadeloupe and Martinique.

A second vessel, the MSC Opera, is also scheduled to sail in the region as part of the company's new year-round operations in the Dominican Republic.
