Royal Caribbean has canceled an Allure of the Seas cruise that was set to depart on March 7, 2027. The reason? A full-ship charter claimed the entire vessel.

The cruise was a seven-night Caribbean voyage sailing roundtrip from PortMiami. Guests were looking forward to stops in Nassau, Falmouth (Jamaica), and Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

What Royal Caribbean Said

The cruise line reached out directly to booked guests with an apology. “We understand that this is not an ideal situation, and we’re truly sorry for the impact it has on your vacation plans,” Royal Caribbean said in its statement.

The company also acknowledged the work guests put into planning their trips. “The time and effort you took to plan your cruise is important to us, so we’ve put together some alternative options that we hope will work for you and those in your party.”

What Are Your Options?

Royal Caribbean didn’t leave passengers empty-handed. The cruise line laid out several choices for affected guests.

Option 1: Move to a Similar Sailing

Passengers can rebook onto a nearly identical cruise. The replacement sailing departs on March 21, 2027, also on the Allure of the Seas, and covers the same stops — Nassau, Falmouth, and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Royal Caribbean is protecting guests’ original stateroom pricing. You’ll pay either your original fare or the current rate — whichever is lower.

Onboard Credits as a Bonus

To make the switch more appealing, Royal Caribbean is offering onboard credits for the new sailing:

• Interior, ocean view, and balcony cabins — $100 credit
• Suites — $200 credit
• Third guest and beyond — an extra $50 per person

Transportation Change Fees Covered

Changing flights or other travel arrangements can get expensive. Royal Caribbean is helping cover those costs too.

The cruise line will reimburse non-refundable transportation change fees up to $200 per person for domestic travel changes. For international travel changes, that goes up to $400 per guest.

Option 2: Rebook Any Other Royal Caribbean Sailing

Not sold on the March 21 departure? You can move your reservation to any other Royal Caribbean cruise instead. The cruise line is waiving non-refundable deposit change fees for guests who choose this route.

Keep in mind that you may owe the difference if the new sailing costs more. Similar transportation reimbursements apply here as well.

Option 3: Cancel for a Full Refund

If neither option works for you, Royal Caribbean will let you cancel completely — no penalties attached. You’ll receive a full refund of your cruise fare and any pre-paid amenities.
