Carnival Cruise Line just gave its fleet a patriotic makeover, and it’s turning heads at ports across the country.

Carnival Debuts a Brand-New “From Sea to Shining Sea” Bow Crest

The Carnival Legend was the first ship to show off the new look. The ship returned to service after a 16-day drydock in Freeport, Bahamas, sporting a fresh bow crest with a very American feel.

The crest is called “From Sea to Shining Sea.” It draws its inspiration from the beloved song “America the Beautiful.” The timing was no accident — Carnival unveiled it just ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

What the New Crest Means to Carnival

This new design is more than just a paint job. It’s a symbol of Carnival’s deep ties to the United States.

“With the debut of this new crest, we’re reinforcing what guests have long known: Carnival is proud to be America’s Cruise Line,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

She added, “We sail coast to coast and connect with millions of guests every year, and this crest reflects the reach of our brand across the U.S. — from the communities we visit to the memories we help create at sea.”

Which Ships Will Get the New Look?

The crest will roll out across Carnival’s U.S. ships over time. Ships receive the new design during scheduled drydocks and on new builds. Two ships will be exceptions — Carnival Jubilee and the upcoming Carnival Tropicale, due in 2028, will keep their Texas star bow designs.

The next ship in line is the Carnival Magic. It was set to return to PortMiami from drydock on May 26.

Honoring Veterans as Part of the Celebration

Carnival used the crest’s debut to do something special for veterans. The cruise line invited veterans from the Miami Veterans Affairs Healthcare System to view the new crest in person. Each veteran received a special Carnival America250 challenge coin as a thank-you for their service.

This gesture fits right in with Carnival’s broader commitment to the military community. The line claims to host more active-duty military members and veterans than any other cruise line. Military appreciation gatherings are held on every North American sailing.

Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday at Sea

The new crest also ties into a bigger celebration. The U.S. is turning 250 years old, and Carnival wants to mark the milestone in style.

From June 4 through July 4, guests across the fleet can enjoy patriotic-themed events on board. Think trivia contests, crafts, and special ship meet-ups timed to catch July 4th fireworks on both coasts. It sounds like a fun way to celebrate the holiday while out on the water.
