Disney Adventure’s Canceled Sailing in Singapore

The Disney Adventure ran into a mechanical problem in early May 2025. Guests had already boarded the ship in Singapore on May 7 when the cruise was suddenly canceled. They were asked to leave the ship and make other plans.

Disney addressed the situation directly. “We completely understand this was an unfortunate situation for our guests and worked with them directly to support their travel needs, help make their trip home as smooth as possible and invite them back to a future sailing,” the company told USA TODAY.

Disney stepped up with a solid compensation package for the passengers who were impacted. Every affected guest received a full refund of their cruise fare. Pre-paid extras, like photo packages, were also refunded.

The Ship Was Back Sailing by May 11

Disney fixed the mechanical issue quickly. The Disney Adventure left Singapore on schedule for its next sailing on May 11. The disruption lasted only a few days.
