1. Norwegian Luna
Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship, Norwegian Luna, is already sailing in the Caribbean from Miami. The ship was handed over at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy in March 2026. She is NCL’s 21st ship and the fourth in the Prima class.
Norwegian Luna is a sister ship to Norwegian Aqua, which launched in April 2025. She features the popular hybrid waterslide rollercoaster called the Slidecoaster. Guests can also enjoy the live show “Rocket Man: A Celebration of Elton John.”
New additions include a Moon Climber high ropes course and more outdoor spaces. The ship stretches 1,056 feet long and weighs 156,300 gross tons. She can carry up to 3,550 passengers.
2. Legend of the Seas
Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas will be the third Icon class ship in the fleet. It will also be the first Icon class ship to launch in Europe. Like its sisters, Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas, it will rank among the world’s largest cruise ships.
Legend of the Seas will hold 5,610 passengers. It will feature the largest waterpark at sea, a high ropes course, and 40 bars and restaurants. Guests can also enjoy exclusive performances of “Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and an immersive “Royal Railway” dining experience.
The ship makes its debut in July 2026. It will sail seven-night western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona, Spain, and Rome, Italy.
3. Disney Adventure
Disney Adventure launched in March 2026 as the eighth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. At 208,000 gross tons, it is the largest Disney ship ever built. It can host more than 6,000 guests.
The ship is based in Singapore and offers three, four, and five-night cruises around Asia. Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. serves as the ship’s godparent. Unique features include a Disney castle and the Marvel-themed Ironcycle Test Run — the first-ever rollercoaster on a Disney cruise ship.

4. Seven Seas Prestige
Regent Seven Seas Cruises is launching its first new ship class in a decade. Seven Seas Prestige is set to debut in December 2026. It will be the seventh ship in the fleet and the first of four new Prestige-class vessels.
The 77,000-ton ship holds 822 guests and boasts one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios at sea. That ratio is 40 percent higher than the rest of the Regent fleet. Guests can enjoy butler service, luxury lounges, and a new Mediterranean mezze-style restaurant called Azure.
The ship offers 12 suite categories, including the jaw-dropping 9,000-square-foot Skyview Regent Suite. That suite starts at around $25,000 per night and fits up to six guests. It comes with a dedicated butler, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a wraparound balcony of over 3,500 square feet.
The maiden voyage departs Barcelona on December 13, 2026, and heads to Miami. Itineraries run through May 2027 and include the Caribbean, Europe, and two transatlantic crossings.
5. Explora III
Explora Journeys — the luxury brand of MSC Cruises — is adding a third ship to its fleet this summer. Explora III launches in August 2026. The ship will carry around 900 guests in a refined, upscale setting.
Like its sister ships, Explora III offers five heated pools, six restaurants, and 12 bars and lounges. The guest-to-staff ratio is an impressive 1.25 to 1. The first sailing departs Barcelona on August 3, 2026, heading to Lisbon on a seven-night voyage.
6. MSC World Asia
MSC Cruises is expanding its World class series with MSC World Asia, set to launch in December 2026. This massive ship holds 6,782 passengers. Its design draws inspiration from Asian culture, art, and landscapes.

8. Star Explorer
Windstar Cruises is launching Star Explorer in December 2026. The ship offers just 112 suites for 224 guests — giving it an intimate, yacht-like feel. Two of those suites are Horizon Owner’s Suites with wraparound balconies.
Onboard highlights include the Yacht Club Cafe and a Marina watersports platform. Star Explorer will sail year-round in Europe. Its first voyage departs from Barcelona in December 2026, and the ship is set to be christened at London’s Tower Bridge in May 2027.
9. Tui Aria and Tui Elara
Tui Aria is a new European river cruise ship with a clever trick up its sleeve. It is the first Tui river ship to feature an indoor pool with a retractable roof. At night, the pool floor rises to create a second dining venue serving Italian-inspired dishes.
