Two popular MSC Cruises ships are getting major makeovers — and the results sound pretty impressive.

MSC Musica and MSC Orchestra Are Getting Big Upgrades

MSC Cruises has announced that two of its ships are heading into dry dock for major refurbishments. The MSC Musica will re-launch in November 2026, and the MSC Orchestra will follow in March 2027. Both ships will come out of their upgrades featuring the highly regarded MSC Yacht Club experience.

Once complete, 19 ships across the MSC fleet will offer the Yacht Club concept. This “ship-within-a-ship” experience gives guests a luxury retreat inside a larger cruise ship.

What Is the MSC Yacht Club?

The MSC Yacht Club is MSC’s premium suite complex. Think of it as a boutique luxury hotel nestled inside a big cruise ship.

Both refurbished ships will feature 63 suites inside the Yacht Club. Guests can choose from four different suite categories, including a brand-new two-room Grand Suite. Around-the-clock butler and concierge service comes standard for all Yacht Club guests.

Exclusive Amenities for Yacht Club Guests

Yacht Club guests get access to their own private spaces that other passengers can’t use. These include:

• The Top Sail Lounge, an exclusive retreat for relaxing and socializing
• A private sundeck with two hot tubs
• A dedicated grill restaurant and bar
• An exclusive Yacht Club restaurant

New Features for All Guests

The upgrades aren’t just for Yacht Club guests. Several new venues and spaces will be open to everyone onboard.

MSC Aurea Spa

The redesigned spa will offer a full relaxation experience. Highlights include a sauna with panoramic ocean views, steam rooms, a salt room, a Kneipp path, and a tea relaxation area.

MSC Gym Powered by Technogym

Fitness lovers will appreciate the new gym setup. It features aft-facing panoramic views, dedicated yoga and spinning studios, and top-of-the-line equipment from Technogym.

New Dining Options

Two new restaurants are joining both ships after the refurbishments.

Butcher’s Cut is an American-style steakhouse serving premium cuts of meat. It will feature beef from Meat by Linz along with a full selection of steaks and sides in a modern setting.

Kaito Sushi Bar will serve fresh sushi and authentic Asian dishes. It’s a great option for guests looking for something lighter or different from the main dining room.

Where Will These Ships Sail?

MSC Musica Itineraries

After its November 2026 relaunch, the MSC Musica will sail in South America through April 2027. Short three- and four-night cruises will visit Brazilian hotspots like Santos, Buzios, and Ilha Grande.

Longer eight- to nine-night sailings will head to Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and Punta del Este. The South American season wraps up with a 16-night transatlantic crossing from Santos to Genoa, departing April 1, 2027.

By summer 2027, the Musica will shift to the Mediterranean. It will visit ports like Rome (via Civitavecchia), Palermo, Ibiza, Valencia, and Marseille.

MSC Orchestra Itineraries

The MSC Orchestra will kick off its upgraded sailings from Bari, Italy, in March 2027. It will focus on Eastern Mediterranean destinations, including Istanbul and Izmir in Turkey, along with Piraeus, Corfu, and Cefalonia/Argostoli in Greece.

These itineraries offer a solid mix of history, culture, and stunning scenery. It’s a great region for first-time and repeat Mediterranean cruisers alike.
