Carnival Fascination Update and Southern Caribbean Cruise Itinerary Changes
After a one-cruise sailing from Port Canaveral last week, Carnival had planned to send the 2,634 passenger Carnival Fascination back into service from San Juan immediately following that cruise. But plans have changed. Drastically.
Carnival was notified that Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) wanted to charter the Carnival Fascination to provide housing for relief workers in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Carnival Fascination Update
As a result, all Fascination departures from October 15, 2017 through January 28, 2018 are cancelled. However, Carnival plans to have Carnival Fascination return to year-round service from San Juan beginning February 18, 2018.
Guests who are booked on any of the cancelled Fascination sailings will be or already have been notified by Carnival or their travel agent.
Itinerary changes due to hurricanes Irma or Maria
The following itineraries in November and December have been modified in order for guests to have the best possible shore experience. Itineraries for sailings in January 2018 and beyond will operate as scheduled. At that time, according to reports, St. Thomas and St. Maarten will be ready to welcome cruise ship passengers.
