The Star of the Seas recently completed its first year of service for Royal Caribbean, having been delivered on July 10, 2025.

The ship crossed the Atlantic for the first time soon after leaving its building dock, sailing with no guests onboard to Puerto Rico for a technical call.
The Star of the Seas then sailed to its homeport, arriving in Port Canaveral for the first time on August 9, 2026.
With singer Diana Ross stepping down from the role on short notice, the ship was christened by astronaut Kellie Gerardi before officially starting its maiden season.
The naming ceremony was held on the vessel's AquaDome and also included presentations by the vessel's entertainment teams.
Following a series of preview sailings, the 5,610-passenger ship embarked on its inaugural cruise on August 31, 2026.
The seven-night itinerary sailed to the Western Caribbean, visiting Roatán in Honduras, Cozumel in Mexico and the Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas.
The Star of the Seas continued to offer weeklong cruises from Port Canaveral throughout its first year of service.
In addition to ports in the Western Caribbean, the itineraries also featured visits to destinations in the Eastern Caribbean, including St. Maarten and St. Thomas.
Other ports that welcomed the vessel during its maiden season included Costa Maya, St. Kitts and Puerto Rico.
According to published deployment, the Star of the Seas is set to continue to offer seven-night cruises from Port Canaveral through April 2028.
The schedule is highlighted by alternating itineraries to the Eastern or Western Caribbean, including Falmouth in Jamaica and Labadee in Haiti.
All itineraries include a visit to Royal Caribbean's private island destination of Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas.
