Following the extensive refurbishments on the Carnival Dream and Carnival Ecstasy, the Carnival Sensation is now the third Carnival ship this year to get a multi-million dollar make-over.
In addition to adding some of Carnival’s most popular food and beverage venues, a new nautical-themed play area for kids was added.
The 2,052-passenger Carnival Sensation returned to Miami after a two-week overhaul in Freeport, Bahamas.
What was added:
Guy’s Burger Joint
If you don’t know this place by now…where have you been? It’s Guy Fieri’s burger place with a toppings bar that’s a meal in itself.
RedFrog Rum Bar
Offering rum-based Caribbean-style foo-foo frozen drinks and beers, including Carnival’s own ThirstyFrog Red beer.
BlueIguana Cantina
Lido Deck Mexican buffet with burritos and tacos on homemade tortillas, plus an elaborate toppings and salsa bar.
Alchemy Bar
Cherry On Top
A real candy store with more than just candy. Also sold are gifts, custom apparel and souvenirs.
BlueIguana Tequila Bar
Outdoor bar also on Lido Deck with a Mexican-themed atmosphere and tequila-based drinks and beers.
Camp Ocean
Play space for kids from 2-11 years. The marine and nautical theme carries over into activities that include arts and crafts and science-based programs.
Carnival Sensation cruises year-round from Miami on four-day cruises to Cozumel leaving on Thursdays to Nassau, Key West and the private Bahama destinations of Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays or Cozumel. Alternatively, cruises depart on Mondays and Saturdays for five-day voyages to Grand Turk, Nassau and Half Moon Cay or Grand Turk and Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.
