Royal Caribbean International is set to make a return to Latin America for the 2025-26 winter season with the Serenade of the Seas.

According to a press release, the Radiance-class ship will offer cruises departing from Cartagena, Colombia, and Colón, Panama from October 2025 to April 2026.

The Serenade will operate seven-night itineraries to the Southern Caribbean, visiting destinations such as Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao.

“We are very pleased to return to the region with the Serenade of the Seas and fulfill our commitment to continue serving the Latin American market,” said Alberto Muñoz, Royal Caribbean’s Associate Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean.

“The region offers an array of destinations to create the best experiences for the whole family and all types of travelers. Serenade will bring an experience designed for the local market, full of flavors, music, and activities that exalt the Latin identity,” he added.

Royal Caribbean mentioned that a series of onboard experiences customized for the local market will be announced at a later date.

“This product adaptation is part of our mission to create the ideal experience for every type of traveler, both at sea and on land, with excursions and activities in destinations available in multiple languages,” the company added.

Bookings for the new cruises departing from Colombia and Panama opened on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

In late 2023, after a seven-year hiatus, Royal Caribbean International returned to Latin America with the Rhapsody of the Seas.

During the 2022-23 winter season, the 2,000-guest ship offered cruises from both Colombia and Panama.

While this operation will not be repeated in 2024-25, Royal Caribbean deemed the Latin American operation a success.

The Serenade of the Seas, which entered service in 2003, has a capacity for approximately 2,150 guests.
