Royal Caribbeans Ovation of the Seas Is Getting a Major Overhaul in Singapore
Royal Caribbean is giving one of its popular ships a major makeover. Here’s what’s changing on the Ovation of the Seas — and where the ship is headed next.
Ovation of the Seas Is Getting a Big Upgrade
The Ovation of the Seas is currently in drydock in Singapore. The ship is going through a major refurbishment as part of Royal Caribbean’s Royal Amplified program. This month-long refit will bring new features, updated spaces, and even more cabins to the ship.

What’s New on Ovation of the Seas
A Bigger Casino and a Brand-New Nightclub
Casino Royale is getting an expansion. Guests will find additional gambling areas when the ship returns to service. The ship is also adding a brand-new nightclub, giving night owls more options for after-dark fun.
New Bars and Dining Options
Royal Caribbean’s Pesky Parrot tropical-themed bar is coming to the Ovation. On the dining side, things are getting a refresh too. Wonderland is being replaced by Izumi Teppanyaki. Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen is taking over the space where Jamie’s Italian used to be.
40 New Staterooms
The ship is adding 40 brand-new staterooms. These will replace some technical areas and public rooms on decks 5 through 16. The Suite Lounge and teens area will also move to new locations on the ship.
Where Is Ovation of the Seas Going After the Refit?
Singapore to Japan
Ovation of the Seas is set to welcome guests back on April 17, 2026. The ship kicks off with a 14-night repositioning cruise from Singapore to Yokohama, Japan. Along the way, guests will visit ports in Vietnam, China, Taiwan, and Japan.
Japan to Canada
From Yokohama, the ship heads across the Pacific on a 15-night voyage to Canada. That sailing wraps up in Vancouver on May 15, 2026.
Alaska for Summer 2026
After arriving in Vancouver, the Ovation shifts into summer mode with Alaska sailings. The ship will run open-jaw itineraries between Vancouver’s Canada Place Cruise Terminal and Seward, Alaska. These week-long cruises include stops at Sitka, Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, and Skagway. Guests will also get scenic cruising near the stunning Hubbard Glacier.
Three Royal Caribbean Ships Getting Refurbished in 2026
The Ovation isn’t the only ship in line for updates. Royal Caribbean has two more ships heading into drydock in 2026. The Harmony of the Seas and the Liberty of the Seas are both scheduled for major modernization projects as well.
It’s shaping up to be a big year for the Royal Amplified program — and great news for fans of these ships.
