Royal Caribbean’s latest cruise ship, Utopia of the Seas, is making its way to North America for the first time. This new addition to the fleet is causing quite a buzz as it heads towards its destination.
Two weeks ago, Royal Caribbean added Utopia of the Seas to its collection. This ship is the sixth of its kind in the Oasis class and ranks as the second largest cruise ship in the world.
After departing from the shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, Utopia of the Seas is currently crossing the Atlantic Ocean en route to North America. It is scheduled to arrive in Ponce, Puerto Rico on July 6, 2024.
Following a visit to Puerto Rico, the cruise ship will continue on to Florida for its christening, media/preview cruise, and then its inaugural voyage. The christening is set for mid-July, which will be part of a three-day preview cruise for media and travel agents.
The maiden voyage of Utopia of the Seas is planned for July 19, 2024, departing from Port Canaveral and stopping at CocoCay and Nassau for a three-night cruise. The ship will be based at Port Canaveral for at least two years, offering three and four-night cruises to The Bahamas.
The ship boasts a wide array of amenities for guests to enjoy, including dining options, bars, swimming pools, hot tubs, shows, live music venues, and unique dining experiences. With features like Central Park and the Boardwalk neighborhood, Utopia of the Seas promises an unforgettable experience for cruisers.
We at Cruise Maven are excited to be on the three-day preview cruise and will be sharing all the details of what Utopia of the Seas has to offer from Royal Caribbean. Stay tuned for more updates!
