Royal Caribbean Changes Grandeur Itinerary for 2027

Royal Caribbean is adjusting the itinerary of a cruise scheduled to take place onboard the Grandeur of the Seas in early 2027.

According to a statement sent to booked guests, the January 23, 2027, sailing will feature a different selection of ports due to a change in scheduling plans.

“While planning our upcoming adventure, we want to make you aware of a slight change to your itinerary,†the company said in its letter.

“From time to time, updates are necessary as we finalize scheduling, port arrangements and operational details,†Royal Caribbean continued.

As a result, the statement added, the Grandeur of the Seas will no longer visit Kralendijk, Bonaire, as scheduled. Instead, the 1996-built vessel is now set to dock in Santa Marta, Colombia, for a seven-hour call.

“We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to setting sail with you,†Royal Caribbean added.

As part of the company's 2026-27 season in the Southern Caribbean, the Vision-class ship is scheduled to offer a seven-night cruise from Colombia and Panama.

In addition to Cartagena de Indias and Colón, the itinerary also features visits to Willemstad in Curaçao and Oranjestad in Aruba.

Royal Caribbean said that any shore excursions pre-purchased through the company for Bonaire will be automatically cancelled and refunded to the original forms of payment.

The company also noted that tours for the new destinations are available for booking on the company's channels.

After repositioning to Latin America earlier this year, the Grandeur of the Seas is currently operating a year-round schedule of cruises from ports in the region.

Sailing to the Southern Caribbean from Cartagena and Colón, the ship's regular itineraries feature visits to Aruba and Curaçao.

In May 2027, the 1,950-passenger ship is scheduled to reposition to Puerto Rico, kicking off a series of weeklong cruises from San Juan.
