MSC Cruises is bringing Dirty Dancing: In Concert to the MSC Poesia starting May 11, 2026. The timing is perfect — it lines up with the cruise line’s very first Alaska season. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to book an Alaska cruise, this might just be it.

The show was created by Lionsgate and GEA Live. It runs about 90 minutes and takes place in the ship’s onboard theater. A live band and dancers perform in sync with the beloved movie, bringing the whole film to life right before your eyes.

MSC Poesia Is Getting a Major Makeover

The ship isn’t just adding great entertainment — it’s getting a full refresh too. MSC Poesia is heading into dry dock soon for a complete refurbishment. The upgrades will be ready before the Alaska sailings begin.

• The upscale MSC Yacht Club — the cruise line’s ship-within-a-ship luxury experience
• Butcher’s Cut — a specialty steakhouse
• Kaito Sushi Bar — a Japanese specialty dining option

These additions make MSC Poesia feel like a brand-new ship. Travelers who have sailed on her before will notice a big difference.
