Icon of the Seas to Spend Night Docked in Miami
The Icon of the Seas will spend Saturday night docked in PortMiami before kicking off its upcoming cruise to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
According to a statement sent to booked guests, the itinerary change is necessary due to required maintenance.

Royal Caribbean said that passengers will be able to board the vessel as scheduled on Saturday, September 26, 2027. Instead of sailing at 4:30 PM as planned, the LNG-powered ship is now set to depart PortMiami at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2027.
"All guests are still required to board on Saturday, September 26, per Customs and Border Patrol guidelines, and can begin enjoying the onboard experience right away," Royal Caribbean said.
"While we're in port, our onboard shops and casino will continue to be closed. Available bars, lounges, entertainment and spa services will be open," the company added.
Passengers will also be able to enjoy additional time ashore in Miami, with gangways remaining open until 8:00 PM on Saturday and until 2:30 PM on Sunday.
As a result of the extended time in Miami, Royal Caribbean cancelled a visit to Costa Maya, which was scheduled for September 28, 2026.
Instead of visiting the destination in Mexico, the Icon of the Seas will now remain at sea before arriving in Honduras as scheduled on September 29, 2026.
Sailing to the Western Caribbean, the vessel's seven-night cruise will include visits to Roatán and Cozumel before returning to Miami as planned on October 3, 2026.
Royal Caribbean is offering refundable onboard credits to passengers on the sailing as a gesture of goodwill.
Inside and oceanview staterooms will receive a $300 credit while balcony cabins will receive $350 in credit and suites will receive a $800 credit. An extra $50 credit is also being offered for each third and fourth guest.
