Grand Princess Adjusts Itinerary Due to Hurricane
The Grand Princess is currently sailing a revised itinerary due to the impact of Hurricane Polo on the West Coast.
After departing from Los Angeles on Friday, September 25, 2026, the Princess Cruises vessel is offering a ten-night cruise to the Baja Peninsula and the Sea of Cortez. The original itinerary included visits to La Paz, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Guaymas.

According to a statement sent to guests before the cruise, visits to three of the planned ports of call had to be cancelled due to the storm.
"Please be advised that we are closely monitoring Hurricane Polo as it moves along the coast of Mexico," Princess said.
"With the safety of our guests and crew as our highest priority, we have made amendments to the Grand Princess voyage to keep us well out of the path of the storm and provide you with the most comfortable cruise," the company added.
The 1998-built ship will now visit new destinations, including San Diego, where it arrived for an overnight call on September 26, 2026, and Mazatlán.
"As a result, we will no longer call to La Paz, Guaymas or Puerto Vallarta," Princess explained, adding that the planned call to Cabo San Lucas was also reduced.
Instead of spending two days at the destination as initially planned, the Grand Princess will now have a late-night departure on the first day.
According to the statement, passengers were given a choice to cancel their bookings, receiving a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) equivalent to 100 percent of the base fare paid for the voyage. Those who wished to sail received a $100 onboard credit for spending during the cruise.
Hurricane Polo has been disrupting cruise operations on the West Coast and the Mexican Riviera for the past few days.
In addition to the Grand Princess, other ships that had to adjust their itineraries due to the impact from the storm include the Navigator of the Seas and the Carnival Panorama.
