Free Royal Caribbean Wiggles Cruises for Kids With These Names
Royal Caribbean is offering free cruises for kids — but there’s a catch. Your child needs to have the right name!
Free Cruises for Kids Named Dorothy, Henry, or Shirley
Royal Caribbean has launched three special cruises built around The Wiggles, the beloved Australian children’s music group. For the second year in a row, the cruise line is partnering with the franchise to create unforgettable family sailings.

Here’s the fun part: kids named Dorothy, Henry, or Shirley can sail for free. Those names match three famous Wiggles characters — Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, and Shirley Shawn the Unicorn.
There are a few rules, though. The offer is only available to families living in Australia or New Zealand. The child must also be under six years old at the time of the sailing.
The Three Wiggles Cruises at a Glance
Royal Caribbean has put together three different sailing options for Wiggles fans. Each one features a real-life Wiggle on board.
4-Night Brisbane to Airlie Beach Cruise
This sailing departs on November 30, 2026, aboard Quantum of the Seas. “Yellow Wiggle” Tsehay Hawkins will be on board. Fares start at around $372 per person.
4-Night Sydney to Hobart Cruise
This cruise sets sail on March 1, 2027, on Anthem of the Seas. “Blue Wiggle” Lucia Field joins passengers for this sailing. Prices start at around $469 per person.
7-Night Brisbane to the South Pacific Cruise
Want more Wiggle time? This longer sailing departs March 19, 2027, on Quantum of the Seas. Both “Red Wiggle” Caterina Mete and “Yellow Wiggle” Evie Ferris will be on board. Prices start at around $622 per person.
What’s Included on These Wiggles Sailings
These cruises are packed with fun activities for little ones. Families can look forward to a sail-away party featuring DJ Dorothy. There will also be meet-and-greets and photo opportunities with the Wiggles and their Wiggly Friends.
The free child fare applies to one child sailing in a triple or quad stateroom. Only 50 cabins are available at this special rate, so availability is very limited.
Why These Names? The Vintage Name Trend
Royal Caribbean did some research before launching this promotion. They found that more than one-third of parents are thinking about using vintage names for their children in 2026. They also found that nearly half of all Australians know a child named Dorothy, Henry, or Shirley.
That’s a nod to how much The Wiggles have shaped Australian culture since the 1990s.
Kathryn Lock, Senior Marketing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Royal Caribbean, explained the thinking behind the deal: “With the rise of vintage names like Dorothy, Henry and Shirley, we saw a playful opportunity to celebrate this trend while offering families a unique chance to connect with their favourite Wiggles and Wiggly characters.”
She added: “In summer 2026/2027, the three exclusive sailings will mark the second year of this exciting partnership, bringing more unforgettable adventures for all ages. We can’t wait to welcome families onboard for the ultimate wiggly adventure.”
A Fun Promotion Worth Knowing About
Even if your child isn’t named Dorothy, Henry, or Shirley, these sailings sound like a blast for Wiggles fans. The combination of live entertainment, themed activities, and ocean travel is a pretty unique experience for young kids.
While this specific free-fare offer is for Australian and New Zealand residents only, it’s a great reminder that cruise lines are getting more creative with family-friendly programming. Keep an eye on Royal Caribbean’s lineup — more fun family sailings could be coming to ports near you.
